Got the "box"

Well, I knew this "box" was coming ~ but still wasn't prepared for the emotions that would follow opening it. The "box" contains all of Lauren's civilian clothing and any items prohibited at RTC. They sent back her brand new, never worn sneakers, her address book (which had the STAMPS i bought in the back of it), Ipod, and cell phone. Now, the hurry up and wait! Next, will be a form letter that will have 3 lines at the bottom that Lauren can write a message on. After that, it's about 3 weeks till the next letter and who knows when they are allowed phone calls. Will post her letter that she writes as soon as I get it!!

11-4-07 Lauren's Send off Party

We threw a party for Lauren with all her closest friends and family, full of good lucks, and I love you's! Lauren left for Recruit Training Center in Great Lakes, IL on 11-6-2007. We got a phone call from her at 2215hrs letting us know she made it there safely. There was someone in the background yelling to get off the phone. Lauren sounded scared. We are so proud of this journey she is taking. She is tentatively set to graduate 1-4-2008!!
